We have fabricated
and installed marinas, community docks, and private
docks. All of our docks are made of hot dip galvanized
steel. Steel offers the greatest strength and
durability and the hot dip galvanizing process protects
the steel from rust.
Our dock components
are fabricated, then hot dip galvanized. Hot dip
galvanizing provides a 4 mil thick galvanization, which
protects the steel from rusting much better than
Electrogalv, which only provides a 1 mil thick
galvanization. Unlike aluminum, the hot dip galvanized
steel will not pit or oxidize. In addition, the
hardware used on our docks is also galvanized to protect
from rusting.
We highly recommend
using a composite decking, which carries a 15-year or
better warranty, depending upon the particular brand.
Composite decking never has to be stained or sealed,
doesn’t splinter, and protects from insect damage. In
addition to the great look, it is virtually maintenance
free.
Encapsulated floats
are used as required by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and TVA.
We have worked with the Corps and TVA for many years,
and have an excellent rapport with them.
